INTRO-Welcome to the SparksCast. This is episode number #004 on January 16, 2014. In this SparksCast, I talk a little about strategic mindset for making changes in your body. Thanks so much for listening. I’m your host, Stevie Puckett broadcasting from SparksPress.com and Virginia Beach, VA.

PART ONE: Today I want to talk about wellness and making changes in your body. It all begins with what you think of yourself because that affects how you vibe about yourself and what will come to you as a result. Positive transformations can take place within your body. There are solutions around for you. If you can tap into a new positive expectation, you will be brought to ideas that you had not noticed before or you may try something again with a whole new attitude that makes all the difference. Or, on an even bigger scale, you may find a new understanding as to why being slowed down with a difficulty with your body provides you with an experience that helps you develop a needed skill or have a required experience in your life.

PART TWO: When you know what improvement you want in your body, you have a few choices. You can feel angry, depressed, or generally awful about yourself…or you can treat yourself as a child of the universe who is learning and you can cut yourself a break. All that happened before is part of the process that brings you to now and that is all, just a step along the way. If you notice that you often look back and kick your own butt about stuff, try letting it go instead. You can be sure you did the best you could with the information you had at the time. So be kind to yourself. You are always automatically worthy of love. There is no shame. There is nothing to feel guilty about. Move forward with inspiration knowing that you have always made the best move you could at the time and you will continue to do the same.

Create habits of thinking where you catch yourself feeling unhappy then say to yourself, “Things are as they are and feeling down doesn’t help me.” Then proceed to talk yourself up to a happier feeling, or visualize yourself up to a happier feeling, or imagine how you want to feel and all that you want to have. Most importantly, know that things are improving. Feel enthusiasm regarding the good feelings coming to you.

The easiest way to improve your body is to accept where you are with an understanding that all can be better. Stop beating up on yourself. Be hopeful instead. It doesn’t have to be a struggle. You can move forward with inspired steps pulling you through instead of by pushing yourself forward with the force of will alone. You can feel good about what you are doing, and the improvements you are making. Try it. The difference will astound you!

PART THREE: Now is the time to nurture yourself by controlling your focus. Its not easy to let go of the way you’ve been thinking but if you want different results its worth the effort. You are where you are, but at anytime you can start again. It is important to keep trying for what you want. It doesn’t matter what happened before. What matters is what happens next, and your results going forward are directly related to feeling good now.

Imagine how you will feel when you have what you want and choose to feel that way now. Get jazzed about all the experiences you want to have and what you want to create and go with that feeling as long as you can for a few minutes every single day. Daydream about the changed you wanted already being here. Do it with an attitude of fun. It’s so fun to play with ideas of what you can choose and what the transformation will mean for your life. Savor how it feels to play with those ideas.

Appreciate beauty when you see it. Use beauty you see around you as a reason to feel good. Know that beauty is coming to you when you can feel good if only for a little bit at first. Each time you practice you will become better and better at feeling good and appreciating your beauty.

The importance of being okay with slow results can’t be over-emphasized. If you allow yourself to reinforce feelings of frustration or anger at slow results you defeat your own purpose. Change can come and it may be at a snail’s pace but if you focus on the slow pace you get more of a slow-down. Instead focus on the momentum, ideas you can use are coming faster and faster, it is getting easier and easier to maintain the good habits you intended. There is momentum and you are heading in a direction that will please you if you can remember to enjoy life from where you are right now. This moment will never come again.

INTRO-Welcome to The SparksCast. This is episode number #003 on January 9, 2014. In this SparksCast, I talk a little about building a career to love. Thanks so much for listening. I’m your host, Stevie Puckett broadcasting from SparksPress.com and Virginia Beach, VA.

PART ONE: Do you know the first step in building a satisfying career? You have to believe it’s possible and that you can tap into that kind of abundance. Through the work you do every day, you demonstrate what you are willing to focus on. Finding work to focus on that meshes superbly with your natural gifts and what you are deeply interested in maximizes your personal power, creativity, and freedom…and feels extremely satisfying. When you are satisfied with your work, it fuels your health and your relationships and juices the rest of your life.

Does that sound worth it? It sure does to me! Start to notice all the people who enjoy what they do for a living. It’s is a whole other level to observe. At first it may be very easy to notice all those who are dreading and complaining about their work. Just assume they are doing the best they can and that they don’t mean to hamper you and softly move your attention elsewhere. Careful here that you are not being rude though, just move your attention gently towards noticing something more positive. If you can do that, you are not only helping yourself, you are helping them in an indirect way. It goes a little against the grain and may not feel like a nice thing to do at first but by not encouraging them to continue their old story they might find the room to create a new one…and you certainly are creating a new, more positive story about your work.

PART TWO: To build a satisfying career you must embrace and pursue your own path. Sometimes people feel pressure to choose a career based on what someone important to them expects. Sometimes it is easy to turn away from our own interests because of what those around us would think too but remember, you are the one putting in time and attention to whatever you choose for your career. You are the one noticing every day how you feel about your work. So be selfish in your career development planning! Intend for your work to enhance your life. Those you care about will be glad that you are happy in the end.

Building a career is an ever-evolving process, not a one-time choice. Each day you learn and gather new skills, meet new people, and gain important insights and info about yourself and what interests you. Through self-analysis and experience, you become more knowledgeable about yourself, what it is you do best, and how to present that to others. You learn more about what is a good fit for you and you become better able to match up with opportunities.

Follow your interests without concern about what other people think. It doesn’t matter if others notice what you are doing or what you are interested in, but when you fully engage with your work without the need for their attention everyone will notice. You can feel confident knowing that people recognize you for what you do best as soon as you acknowledge and own it.

Begin by focusing on how you want to feel about your work. How does it feel when your work is easy and enjoyable for you? What feeling are you mainly wanting from your work at this time? Feel it now. Feel what it is like to do what you want. Make it a daily practice to visualize and feel that money comes to you without struggle and that your work is a joy.

PART THREE: A fulfilling career is built upon natural strengths which enable you to work with ease and to gain expertise faster.

Strengths are activities that you enjoy doing, that you do well, and that you don’t mind doing repeatedly, as defined by Marcus Buckingham, one of the first strengths researchers. Once you find your top 2-3 strengths, I suggest you build your career around them ruthlessly. Work with a career counselor or coach to help make them the hub of your life’s work. Use them to communicate what distinguishes you from others in your cover letters and resumes and in important conversations with hiring managers, bosses, colleagues, and mentors.

And decide on a Career Keyword…

Your career keyword can provide clarity in understanding what you want to be recognized for and likely what will be easily recognized in you by others. Once you have it, you can integrate it with your strengths to use as a guiding light in your career decision making.

Identifying a career keyword is an exercise in big picture thinking. It is kind of like choosing a theme song, but in this case it is one word that describes what your career is really about at its core. What is your career keyword? Get quiet for a few seconds then ask yourself, “what is my career about?” See if your intuition supplies an answer. If not, choose one for now and change anytime you find a word that fits even better. Your career keyword will resonate with you. You might feel proud, excited, or confident when you hit on a good word for you.

PART FOUR: An now for a little piece of astrology about careers. Begin by getting a free natal chart online at astro.cafeastrology.com. Just click on “Birth Chart” once you get there.

Did you know that there are things to look at on your natal chart that can give ideas to consider when working on your own career plan? At the top of your chart will be a sign that indicates what others easily recognize about you. When you combine that info with your moon sign and your mars sign you can really start to gather some helpful ideas that can point to practical steps to try in your career.

INTRO-Welcome to The SparksCast. This is episode number #002 on January 2, 2014. This week I want to talk a little about relationships and going with the flow in daily life.

Thanks so much for listening. I’m your host, Stevie Puckett broadcasting from SparksPress.com and Virginia Beach, VA.

PART ONE: As you are walking around town working to get stuff done, did you know that it’s not so much what you say or how you say it but how you vibe that determines how your interactions with others will go? People are tremendously perceptive. Many are experts in body language and decoding a vibe and they don’t even know it. You can be certain that others sense your vibe well before they can even make a logical argument to explain what they think of you.

Can you do anything about what others think of you? Should you even try? No, don’t even try, not directly anyway. Taking direct action meant to control what others think of you is a waste of life energy. Instead, use the indirect method by working on your own vibration. Create time and space to focus on feeling good. It doesn’t have to take a lot of time…less then 5 minutes really. And it doesn’t have to be a big production either. In fact, the simpler and less obtrusive the better!

Now some people might think that I’m talking about meditating everyday. Meditation is a great way to bump the vibration up for some people. Personally, I find meditation a better tool for quieting mental chatter to get more in touch with intuition and to tune in to your higher self. Reaching for the feeling of love and appreciation and the sweetness of life during meditation is be a great way to use daily mediation to lift your vibration too though.

There are lots of ways to feel your vibrations soar each day. Listening to your favorite music for a few minutes…especially good beat, high flying, enjoy life type songs.

Getting outdoors is another great way to raise your vibe. Whatever you can do outside that helps you notice the beauty of nature and absorb the majesty life. You could do an activity like fishing, hiking, or you could just gaze at the mountains, trees, or oceans for a bit.

I also like what I call the Leading Questions Game. Think of questions you can ask yourself to get a happy response. Have fun with it. Remember this is a game. Ask a question then give yourself a few seconds to come up with something. So you might say “Who can I appreciate right now?” or “What has been the happiest moment of my life so far?” or “If I felt like a powerful force for good right now, how would I feel.”

Make it a priority to feel your own vibration soaring for a few minutes each day. Allow the high vibe, make a space for it. Do so and you will find day-to-day interactions flowing like never before.

PART TWO: There are powerful people around us all the time. People who can either help us create a new and better story, or people who will help us rehash our old story. Relationships are about the potential of the next part of your story. Through your relationships you become more of who you are. Much of the juice of life comes from interactions with others too.

Even as we live our lives and have our experiences, we can maintain a fundamental view of others as people with potential to connect meaningfully with us. Through times of connection, we all learn something new about ourselves. Different teachers and mentors will come into our lives through our relationships.

It’s human nature to look to others to make us feel good. One of the best feelings ever happens when we look into someone’s eyes as we laugh with them. It’s so easy to appreciate in the moment when that happens. But remember, no one else is responsible for how you feel. Would you even want them to be? I don’t care to be that dependent on anyone! I don’t control how others feel and no one but me controls how I feel.

You are worthy and your perspective is valid. You have a unique point of view and it matters. You matter, whether anyone else recognizes that in any moment or not. Do not be dependent on other people’s opinion of you for your own happiness!

That being said, strive to make appreciation the whole point of your interaction with others. That appreciation will strengthen you, even though at first glance it might feel like something you are doing for someone else.

PART THREE: Let’s bring a little astrology into the picture. You are probably familiar with your Sun sign even if you haven’t ever done much work learning the symbolic language of astrology at all. For example you most likely know you are a Pisces or Taurus. Sun sign descriptions are a great way to open the door to a little bit of the language and symbolism of astrology but there are a lot more pieces that can be added to really tap into the useful information to consider for practical relevance to your life. Whole paragraphs can be added such as, in general: how others tend to see you, what you are best known for, how you learn best, how to best nurture yourself, what makes your heart soar, what you are spontaneously willing to take action on, what to work towards as a life purpose, and many other useful pieces of information to reflect on and consider for your own practical purpose. Astrology can reveal new ideas for solutions that you have not thought of before. Then you try the new approach in your life and find out for yourself if the idea worked. This is how I love to use astrology in a very practical way.

The place to start is to get a copy of your natal chart. It is all done by computer software. You can get a free natal chart online at astro.cafeastrology.com. Just click on “Birth Chart” once you get there. You will need your birth date, birth time, and birth place to generate a chart.

Welcome to the SparksCast. Broadcasting from SparksPress.com and Virginia Beach, VA. This is episode number #001 on December 27, 2013.

INTRO: The SparksCast offers practical techniques for creating what you want in life. This podcast features ways of thinking and ideas for enhancing intuition. The areas of career, health, and relationships are the main topics as well as New Age tools and techniques. Listen weekly for self-development ideas and mindset tweaks. Often a tiny adjustment in perspective and mindset can make a huge impact. Also, please visit SparksPress.com and submit your email address for the free and ad-free Bliss or Bust tip of the week.

PART ONE: Hi this is Stevie. Today I want to talk about planting seeds for the new year. 2014 is nearly upon us and it is all very exciting. I wanted to encourage you to take a few minutes to think about how it’s going to feel this year. What are you going to accomplish and how is it going to feel. What is it that you really want and how is it going to feel? Spend some time thinking about how you want to feel this year. This is something that you can practice for a few seconds everyday and it will make a huge impact on your life. The important thing is not to just list a to do list or write down main accomplishments that you want to achieve but instead to think about how you are going to feel when you achieve what you want. What is that gonna feel like. And practice feeling it now. That’s the important piece.

PART TWO: The kids are returning to school soon and one of the questions I hear quite if often is, “Why does school have to be so hard?” “Why does it have to be so boring?” So I wanted to run you through preparing the feeling place to have a much better day at school. There is always something positive to focus on. There’s interesting people to meet. Nice people to look at. Fun projects that are going to happen. Everyday in school there’s something interesting or fun. And you can give that all of your attention and feel very good about those projects and those experiences and focusing on what you like at school. There is something there everyday. Even if it’s for a short time at first. Focus on it. Focus on it intently. Focus on it as intently as you would if it was something that you didn’t like and you wanted to stop. But we don’t want to pay attention to things that we don’t like. Don’t give those things any focus at all. Just note, “Oh, there’s that thing again,” and change your focus. “Well if I don’t like that what do I like?” And think about it, focus on it, feel what you do like, talk about what you do like, and forget about what you don’t like. This is how we create an attitude of abundance and positive mindset. And it’s the way to stop resistance so that you don’t get more of it. What you really want is more of what you like. So focus more on what you like. Give it your attention. There’s always something to like.

PART THREE: So I wanted to talk about astrology. Astrology as a tool to insight. I think it’s a wonderful tool that offers some quick intuitive flashes and leaps in understanding if we’ll embrace it as a symbolic language. And look at it as a tool, just a simple tool. Like I’m gonna pick up my screwdriver now and work on this project. So like it’s just I’m going to pick up the astrology chart right now and see what insights it offers me. Not a big fan of thinking about using astrology for every single question and every single thing. But I think it’s wonderful for giving important life lesson insights that give you clarity on what’s really important for you. And what’s really important for you is not what’s important for someone else and that’s okay. But astrology can offer a way to really focus in on and get clear about what is important for you which can help you filter out all the other gunk that is only a distraction.

The place to start is to get a copy of your natal chart. It is all done by computer software. You can get a free natal chart online at astro.cafeastrology.com. Just click on “Birth Chart” once you get there. You will need your birth date, birth time, and birth place to generate a chart.

One of the first things I look at when I look at a chart is the placement of the north node by house and sign. Which gives the big picture idea of hints into your life purpose. And it might help you sync up with a way of being that can really move you forward towards everything that you want in life. So that’s one of the first things I look at. It’s a very big picture view and it’s a lifelong journey. But you can know that I you lean in the direction of that north node, you’re heading in the right direction. And even better yet is that the insights and clarity that you can get from taking a look at that north node can be really priceless. So that’s one of the first things that I look at on a chart and then I look for the Sun sign next and it really helps me to fill in the details after I have that idea in place.
