  • The Next Step

The next step doesn’t have to be difficult. It can flow to you easily. Ask yourself: How do you want to feel about the situation at hand? Knowing the feeling you want will help you realize the next step.

It’s fun to be clear on what to do next. Don’t you love clarity? You can decide ahead of time to know exactly what action to take at the right time or even at a certain time. You can look forward to knowing what to do at just the right time. Plan ahead to feel good about how easy it is to take the next step with perfect timing.

  • Think Yourself Lucky

There was a recent study* where researchers asked people if they were lucky or not and then put them to a task. Those that said they were lucky were more likely to see the hint in the task that made the task simple and fast. Those that said they were not lucky were more likely to painstakingly follow the directions of the task without seeing the shortcut.

Think and talk about yourself as being lucky. Notice every day all the ways that you are lucky. Maybe there are at least half-a-dozen or so ways you can list? All proof of how lucky you are. You will see the solutions that abound.

  • Life is About

Life is about wanting and growing. You will be better tomorrow than you are today if you can go with the flow of that.

It is good to want. It is good to allow. It pulls life through you. You want more and that is the juice of life.

Can you enjoy the wanting of what you want? Don’t pine away for it! Be glad there are things on your want list. Be glad you want to get better at something or that you want to feel something more. That is a sign you have more living to do.

Now, enjoy what you want in your mind before you even have it.

  • Magical Mindset

What follows is an excerpt from my book Bliss Or Bust: Uplifting Thoughts.

When there are things about yourself or your life that you want to improve, it is easy to get frustrated. You quickly notice where you are and what you don’t like about it. You begin to talk to and about yourself negatively. That dialog becomes a habitual way of being if not checked. With a lack of attention to your thoughts, you unintentionally begin a process that is the opposite of self-improvement. It’s more like self-destruction.

There’s a fine line between wanting a change and being patient and kind with yourself versus wanting a change so bad that you impede your own progress.

A magical mindset exists that can pave the way to inspired action and set the stage for improving any part of your life. It begins by aiming your thoughts in a positive direction so you can feel better immediately and be receptive to inspired action.

  • Key Distinctions

What follows is an excerpt from my book Bliss Or Bust: Uplifting Thoughts.

Personal development is an ever-evolving process of making more and better distinctions about who you are and what you want. Life is about choices and those choices accumulate to define the path of your life’s journey. You choose again and again as a normal part of daily life.

You may not realize it, but you can even make choices each day about how you want to feel. Clarity about how you want to feel will assist you tremendously in making satisfying choices with near-perfect consistency on a day-to-day basis.

If you decide to do something, then find yourself there unhappy, it’s good to redirect your thoughts. Find something to appreciate. Maybe the only thing to enjoy about it is that you are doing what you decided to do. You are being true to your word and previous intentions for yourself. That feels good. Focus there while you decide what you want next.
